Small room, honest sound.
Audiophile forums will tell you a room this size is a problem. I think it is a brief. Short walls mean early reflections, so the answer is not bigger drivers, it is closer listening: a near-field pair, tuned for where I actually sit, built for this room and no other.
They carry two very different hours. Through the afternoon they play low while I work and make. At 22:30 the projector comes on, the lights go out, and the same pair becomes the cinema.
The build, in short.
Oiling the cabinets
Baltic birch, mitered, glued and clamped overnight. The bench was the desk; the desk survived.
Three thin coats of oil, a day apart. The grain decides how it looks; I just keep it honest.
